Activities, music, and fun were all part of this year’s Angel Fest. Over 800 alumnae and their families came back to campus for the annual Angel Fest, a day dedicated to all the alumnae and their families. It was filled with many activities and fun for the entire family. With everything from pony rides to tours of the school, Angel Fest had something for all ages.
Many activities and games were geared toward the children who came to Angel Fest. Pony rides and the bubble bus were extremely popular with younger children. There was even a cupcake decorating station where children could decorate cupcakes with different colors of icing and sprinkles. Another popular station was the photo booth, where visitors loved taking photos with their family and friends.
Theology teacher Ms. McIntire attended Angel Fest with her kids this year. They enjoyed the activities that were provided.
“I bring my kids up, and we like to see the horses and ride them. They play all the games and do the crafts. My son likes the pony rides the best, and then my daughter likes arts and crafts, so she did a lot of arts and crafts. I think Angel Fest is a fun family event,” Ms. McIntire said.
With music from a DJ, the children danced and had a fun time. The atmosphere during Angel Fest was electric, and everyone was so happy to be back on campus after being gone for so long. Alumnae were excited to reconnect with their high school friends they had not seen for a while. Sophomore Gracie Ott volunteered at Angel Fest and enjoyed seeing all of the alumnae back at St. Joe.
“Seeing all of the current, future, and past St. Joe families made me realize how big of an impact St. Joe has had on so many people,” Gracie said.
Having all of the alumnae back at St. Joe makes people realize how massive the St. Joe family truly is. All of these alumnae wanted to come back to St. Joe because they enjoyed their time here.
The SJA Angel Dads generously sponsored a barbeque supplying food and drinks for everyone. There were hot dogs, chips, and drinks for people to grab for lunch.
During Angel Fest, St. Joe hosted the first Reunion of Champions to celebrate the 50th anniversary of St Joe’s first-ever state championship. To celebrate this milestone, alumnae who had won a state championship were welcomed to the stage, and their accomplishments were announced. The announcer went sport by sport telling the crowd when each state championship was won. The Reunion of Champions was a great way to celebrate all of the state championships St. Joe has won in the past 50 years.
Angel Fest was a successful day of welcoming alumnae back to St. Joe. Everyone was so happy to be back on campus and cannot wait to return next year!
