Due to the enthusiastic responses towards the pair, it is understandable that the couple tries to keep their lives together as quiet and private as possible. Sydney Lyng, a sophomore, understands this perspective.

“It is very on-brand for them to be subtle in announcing the engagement. The soft launch makes sense,” Sydney said.

Later in the night, videos of Zendaya sticking out her hand to show other celebrities the ring surfaced. The videos and photos confirmed the hunches many people had. Those who were still convinced it was just a bold accessory for the evening, would also soon get confirmation when Zendaya showed up to the screening of one of her movies the next day with the ring still on. The second outing with it ensured fans that it was there to stay, and with it, the meaning was solidified.

Tom Holland’s father, Dominic Holland, later confirmed the news in a blog on his Patreon. While he did not share much on the private moment, he ensured that Tom did it in a well-prepared and thought-out manner.
