The annual auction took place this year on February 26. It was an in-person event this year, but there was a virtual option for those who cannot attend (such as out-of -town alumni) or are uncomfortable attending in person. Those who have helped organize the event were excited to announce an in person availability after a fully virtual auction last year.
The auction committee had an exciting array of items that were a huge hit, including:
Tickets to Justin Bieber along with a spray tan, a sushi delivery, and an Uber gift card
The classic “Pick Your Own Parking Spot at SJA”- with preference of parking space in the back by locker room, chorus doors or out front
Colorful, roomy Consuela Grab Bags which are ideal for the students as well as their mothers. Not to mention, a perfect fit for Spring Break.
A mini goldendoodle (Jade) and a yellow lab (Ivy).
Ms. Gina Hayes, Auction Manager at St. Joe, and has been one of the lead organizers in rounding up the unique auction items that were up for bid this year.
“One of the things I am most looking forward to is that we are having a "Jewelry Heist" this year at the auction. It's a new idea. We have beautiful earrings, bracelets, necklaces and designer watches that were donated. Each person who purchases a box will receive a piece of jewelry worth between $100-$1000. I hope it's a successful addition to the auction!” Ms. Hayes said before the auction took place.
Nora Minton, Events and Sponsorship Coordinator at St. Joe, helps with the annual auction each year as well.
“I love helping with the auction each year because our St. Joe community never fails to show support to our Angels,” Mrs. Minton said.
“An Evening with the Angels” was no doubt an evening to remember with all of the hard work and dedication the Auction team put into it, and the generosity and support of our SJA community.
