Post from Paisley with her ball

With so many pet owner running the halls of the Academy, it’s no surprise these furry animals share their fame through personalized Instagram accounts, adorableness and all. Our girls appear to be quite keen on showing off their lovely dogs to the world in various posts and uploads, but hey we’re not complaining.

One such account, owned by seniors Larissa O’Shea and Katie Powers, is a joint Instagram page created for both of their dogs, who are “totally best friends” by the way.

Larissa’s dog, Bruno, is a coton de tulear who enjoys long walks with his dear doggy in crime, cockapoo Dewey Powers. Living in the same neighborhood makes it easy for the two pups to get together and pose for some candid pictures, which are quickly added to their account by Katie and Larissa.

Katie explains that the idea for the account came from a mutual agreement with Larissa that their pets were just “simply too precious not to share with others.”

Often referring to Dewey as her “best friend” and “light of her life,” Katie is very passionate about sharing this light with family and friends. To catch a glimpse into the wild lives of Bruno and Dewey, make sure to check out their page @bruno_and_dewey on Instagram.

Another dog-centered account is owned by senior Elle Mundwiller, who flaunts her Saint Bernard, Paisley. The account has been up and running for over a year now, and has certainly gained the attention of its followers through adorable pictures and videos of Paisley living her best life. Elle says the account was a collective idea she shared with her two siblings, Macy and Max.

“Paisley enjoys playing soccer together with my brother Max in our backyard where she is free to run around and chase the ball,” Elle says of her dog’s many activities.

Paisley loves walks around the neighborhood and meeting up with her other fellow pups in the park. Elle says she plans to continue posting and adding pictures to the account for as long as possible.

“It’s as a great place to store her favorite memories with Paisley and my family,” Elle added.

Another spotlight dog belongs to senior Hannah Hormuth, who loves to show off her cuddly golden doodle, Louie. With her love for dogs and other animals, Hannah finds the account to be a fun way to post her favorite pictures and videos of Louie, while also keeping up with the lives of her family and friends’ pets.

“Louie is the best part of my day, energetic, sweet, and precious,” Hannah said.

Although the account has only two posts right now, Hannah says that she plans on adding more snaps of Louie very soon. Similar to Dewey, Bruno, and Paisley, Louie never passes up an opportunity to strut for the camera. To see into the life of Louie Hormuth, search @louie_hormuth on Instagram and bask in the cuteness.

These are just a few of the many accounts centered around the pets of our Angels at the Academy. Through pictures and videos, our girls find fun and creative ways to share what they love about their pets with others. Instagram and other forms of social media serve as great ways to safely store your favorite memories and stories with your family, friends, and pets throughout the years.
