Upperclassmen are transported to galaxy-themed dance

October 17, 2017

On Friday, October 6, St Joseph’s Academy juniors and seniors attended Fall Ball held in the school’s gym.

Fall ball is a tradition at The Academy, held once every October. Juniors and seniors gather together and dance to a DJ. It is a night filled of singing, dancing and laughter with your fellow angels.

The dance is planned by the seniors and juniors of student council. Members decorate the gym transforming it into the chosen theme. This year, student council put forth their best effort turning the school into a galaxy like theme.

I don’t think I stopped dancing once

“All of the student council members put a lot of time and effort into this dance,” student council representative Macy Hill explained.

For the juniors, it was their first time attending fall ball. Many of them went into the dance with high anticipation of an enjoyable night. It appeared that the evening proved to be an unforgettable one.

“This was by far my favorite dance at St. Joe, I don’t think I stopped dancing once,” junior Johni Bunkers said.

As for the seniors, many were filled with emotion as another last takes place. Reflecting on how fast their years have gone by, the seniors made the most of their last fall ball.

“Nights like these are the ones I am going to remember,” senior Caroline Hipskind said.
